Bipolar When It Counts

{December 12, 2012}   Question of the day #6

I find one symptom harder than others are. For me, it is sleeping. I have tried everything I could think of, and nothing works, so far.

So here is my question of the day.

What is the one manic-depressive symptom you have to deal with that you wish you could change.

Stay tuned! Very soon we’ll be having a draw. I will be creating a new page just for contests. And remember, the more times you enter, the better your chances!

{November 25, 2012}   Question of the day #5

So all you bipolar friends. In keeping with the theme of my last post, here is the question of the day today.

What is the one piece of advice you wish someone had given you, or the one tool you wish you had had when you were in school?

I look forward to reading your answers!

{November 22, 2012}   Just another manic… Wednesday?

Okay, okay, I know its Thursday. It just doesn’t feel like it to me right now. I worked a 16 hour overnight shift last night and, besides being tired, I’m finding that I may have lost a day…

To top it all off, I’m getting sick. Yup, I’m pretty sure that I’m going to get hit pretty badly this year. I’ve managed to a skip the last few years, so I doubt I’ll get lucky again this year. Which isn’t to say I don’t have my fingers and toes crossed again for this year…

Once again, Christmas is right around the corner. And, once again, I’m at a loss. What do you buy for 3 teenagers? I just don’t know. Maybe I’ll just buy them all gift cards and let them buy their own gifts?

What do you think? Should teenagers be allowed to select their own gifts by way of gift cards?

{June 22, 2012}   Question of the day #4.5

So here’s a question. At what point do you share with your employers that you are dealing with a mental illness?  I’m not looking for a general answer. When did you actually tell your employer, and what was their reaction?

As always, I look forward to seeing what you have to say. Leave your comments below.

{June 22, 2012}   Question of the day #4

Ok, here’s todays question of the day.  I was told that because of my meds, I can’t take any cold remedies.

So what do you do when you can’t take anything? How do you deal with being sick?

Share your answers below. I look forward to hearing from you!

{June 15, 2012}   Question of the day #3

So here is something to ponder.  I’m currently taking a distance course to become a Natural Health Consultant.  I truly hate having to put all these chemicals into my body, although I understand the necessity. I do incorporate as many natural remedies as I can to help with the other issues, such as yoga, tai chi, meditation, massage.

So here is my question.

Do any of you have any natural health remedies that you swear by. This could be anything from vitamins, chiropractics, dance, art, or music therapy, aromatherapy, herbal remedies.

Pick your favourite and share them here. Tell us what you use, and why you love it.

I look forward to reading everyone’s responses. Oh, and if you have more than one that you like to use, feel free to share them all!
